Limit microwave-use to up to 1 minute at a time. If you need to continue re-heating provide a rest time of 1 minute before trying again. Do not microwave the plate without food on it. Food heats up faster than usual on our peel plates when microwaved thanks to it's conductive properties, but the plate doesn't get hot since the food absorbs the heat.

Each layer is surprisingly extremely slice & cut-resistant. You just can't use serrated edges on it or a sharpened knife that could also cut through wood.
